Juan Barboza, 78, February 15, 2018, longtime resident of the southwest side of Chicago--West Lawn neighborhood. Loving son of the late Igancio and Margarita Barboza. Cherished husband of Ana, nee Zamora. Devoted father of Sara (Eduardo) Gutierrez, Ignacio "Nacho" (Rosalba) Barboza, Silvia (Manuel) Alvarez, Maria Guadalupe (Miguel) Leon, Juan Luis Barboza, Yolanda Barboza, Alberto Barboza, Jerardo (Ana Lorena) Barboza. Fun loving brother, uncle of many and adored grandfather and great grandfather.
Juan was born in Zamora, Michoacan, Mexico. He retired in 2005 after spending his entire career working as a Metalman and Die caster for Allied Die Casting Company in Franklin Park. He was a proud union member. He was deeply loved by his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
Resting at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, on Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 4 to 9 p.m. Funeral, Thursday Feb. 22, 9:30 a.m., at chapel, to St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 6435 S. Kilbourn Ave., Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Cremation following.
