Charlotte Goodwin, 96, May 11, 2018, longtime resident of the southwest side of Chicago, Clearing neighborhood. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather and most of her friends. Charlotte and her mother relocated to Chicago, from Pennsylvania, following the death of her father. Her mother re-married and Charlotte lived with her mother and step-father for years, taking care of both of them. Charlotte is survived by several friends, including Stephanie Chirik, who was her dedicated caretaker and nurse, as well as Barry Kessler, who assisted her with her financial and legal matters.
Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, where family and friends will gather on Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 10 a.m. In keeping with his wishes, Charlotte has been cremated. Her urn will be buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery, immediately following services Saturday.
